Planning & Building
The whole of the Tumbarumba Shire is a building control area and requires consent for most building and construction activities. Council has a Development Control Plan for Exempt and Complying Development. It is advised that you contact the Shire's Environmental Services Department before you start construction. The Tumbarumba Shire Council Environmental Services Department deals with all matters relating to: - Town Planning

- Environmental Issues and Concerns,
- Animal Control,
- Solid Waste Disposal,
- Noxious Weeds,
- Swimming Pools; and
- Waste Water Treatment
